Amman, March 2018 – As part of the steadfast efforts of the King Hussein Cancer Foundation (KHCF) and King Hussein Cancer Center (KHCC) to provide treatment for underprivileged cancer patients, KHCF signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Central Electricity Generating Company (CEGCO), under which the Company will donate JOD 50,000 as ‘Sadaqah Jariyah’ to name a ‘Royal Patient Suite’ at the KHCC.
The MoU was signed by Dr. Hikmat Abdul-Razeq, KHCC Deputy Director General, on behalf of King Hussein Cancer Foundation and Center, and Eng. Thamer Al Sharhan, Chairman of CEGCO and Managing Director of ACWA Power, on behalf of CEGCO.
On this occasion, Dr. Abdul-Razeq said, “We would like to thank the Central Electricity Generating Company for this donation, which will contribute to providing the best possible medical care at the King Hussein Cancer Center, and supporting underprivileged patients and giving them a real chance of recovery.”
In turn, Eng. Thamer Al Sharhan said, “One of our most important strategic goals is to contribute to building a healthy and sound society. As such, this step serves as an integral part of our journey towards this goal. We are proud to be a part of the noble mission in the fight against cancer, under the leadership of the King Hussein Cancer Foundation and Center. As a national company committed to its responsibility towards the local community, we hope to set an example for other companies in supporting this prestigious foundation.”
