Central Electricity Generating Company Organizes a Free Medical Day in Aqaba

       The Central Electricity Generating Company (CEGCO) organized a free Medical Day for the residents of Hod Al-Diseh area in the Aqaba governorate, in collaboration with the Aqaba Health Directorate. The event was held on Friday, the 26th of November 2010, at the Al-Diseh Youth Club in Aqaba.

       The Medical Day was attended by doctors at CEGCO, led by Dr. Ali Judeh, Director of the Department of Health Insurance. Attendees also included Dr. Ayman Badwan ; Dr. Ahmad Miqdadi, Internal Medicine and Cardiology specialist; Dr. Hussam Al-Kurdi, Orthopedics specialist; Dr. Amer Al-Hanaqta, Pediatrics specialist; Dr. Waleed Al-Ali, Gynecology specialist; Dr. Abdul Salam, Assistant Specialist in Family Medicine; Dr. Muhanna Wakkad, General Practitioner; and Dr. Khalil Abu Hasan, General Practitioner. The activity also included the participation of Dr. Damen Al-Abbadi, the Director of the Aqaba Health Directorate, and Dr. Ismat Al-Rabadi, Deputy Director of the Aqaba Health Directorate.

       Fifteen pharmaceutical companies and warehouses participated in the Medical Day by offering various medical specializations’ free treatments to an estimated number of 500 patient cases.

       Commenting on the hosting of this medical day, Eng. Abdel Fattah Al-Nsour, CEO at CEGCO, said: “This event corresponds with CEGCO’s interest in activating its positive role in the local community, and specifically in relation to offering services to remote and underprivileged areas. We aim through the medical day, which the company organizes annually, to offer medical services to the inhabitants of these areas. We hope to have extended some assistance to people living in the Hod Al-Diseh area in Aqaba. We would also like express our gratitude to all pharmaceutical companies and warehouses for their invaluable participation during this day.”

       In turn, Dr. Al-Abbadi expressed his gratitude and appreciation for CEGCO’s generosity and for providing the medical services to the Hod Al-Diseh residents. He further highlighted the great benefit that the area’s residents gained during the event.

       CEGCO received a letter of gratitude from the Hod Al-Diseh Villages Club, thanking the company on behalf of the area’s residents for providing them with medical services.
